On the 25th of April, Dutch Prime Minister Rutte opened a new Fieldlab: the Smart Connected Supplier Network Fieldlab. This Fieldlab stimulates companies in the high-tech supply chain to collaborate and share information. The goal is to enable secure, reliable and fast data exchange without being hindered by the use of different systems. Information about products and design, quotation and order data should be digitally exchangeable between customers and suppliers.
Agreements between companies about exchanging information enable manufacturers to save a lot of time and money. The estimation of the Smart Connected Supplier Network Fieldlab is that secure and efficient exchange can reduce costs and errors up to 20 percent. With lower transaction costs and less disruption due to communication errors, the network could achieve an international breakthrough. Keywords in the implementation are convenience, security and interoperability of data.
MAP-founder Isah is one of the initiators of the Smart Connected Supplier Network Fieldlab, together with HTSM, Brainport Industries, TNO, NTS-Group, KMWE, Euro-Techniek and MKG. The goal is to digitalize the supply chain.
